Yangzhou embroidery
Yangzhou embroidery is an important genre of Suzhou embroidery, and it is also a representative project of national intangible cultural heritage. Yangzhou embroidery has a history of more than two thousand years. Influenced by the culture of Yangzhou in the past dynasties, especially by the Yangzhou Eight Eccentric Painting School, Yangzhou embroidery follows the cultural connotation and ink taste of Chinese painting, forming two characteristics of ' antique landscape embroidery ' and ' ink freehand embroidery '. The manuscript of Yangzhou embroidery mostly adopts famous calligraphy and painting. On the basis of understanding the meaning of painting, the embroiderers use needles as pens to embroider beautiful works one after another to achieve the realm of ' not painting, better than painting.
